Insight Investment is a business that has had to overcome significant hurdles since its launch six years ago. Founded in 2002, the firm combined three separate asset management operations. Clerical Medical Investment Management renamed itself as Insight, and the firm merged with Halifax Fund Management and the investment division of Equitable Life. In 2003, the firm acquired Rothschild Asset Management, and its multi-manager team, and a property unit from Gatehouse also joined later that year.
