RLAM renames UK Special Situations

Royal London Asset Management is changing the name of its £472.5m UK Special Situations fund to the UK Opportunities fund from 21 January.

The name change is being made in order to more accurately mirror the fund's investment process. The firm says the reference to special situations will also be removed from the fund's investment objective. RLAM confirms there will be no change to the way the fund is managed despite the name alteration. The fund, a sub-fund of Royal London Equity Funds ICVC, uses a concentrated ‘best ideas' portfolio of 30-40 holdings, selected from across the market cap spectrum.
