Artemis unveils Global Select fund

Artemis is soft-launching a global equity fund for latest hires Simon Edelsten and Alex Illingworth.

The Artemis Global Select fund, set to launch next month, will invest in selected themes such as population demographics, energy efficiency, and security. It will have a bias to emerging markets and non-cyclical stocks. Global Select will launch with about a 35% weighting to US equities, 13% in Japan, and 12% in Asia Pacific ex Japan. Another 8% will be allocated to South Africa and Latin America, while the managers will avoid certain emerging markets including Russia because they believe it has inadequate corporate governance.
