Jonathan Ruffer, founder and director of boutique investment house Ruffer, has stepped back from direct involvement in the fund management within the firm.
Ruffer (pictured) officially reduced his responsibilities at the end of March, but he will continue to contribute to the macroeconomic team and in his role as chairman of the firm. The founder's plan to step back from day to day management was first announced in 2010. Ruffer has been involved with managing the firm's RIC (Ruffer Investment Company) trust and CF Ruffer Total Return fund from launch.
