Standard Life Investments' Harry Nimmo said his buy-and-hold philosophy is the secret behind delivering top-quartile returns over the past two decades.
Nimmo, manager of the top-performing SLI UK Smaller Companies fund and Standard Life UK Smaller Companies trust, said one of the key drivers has been his reluctance to take profits, instead choosing to retain ‘winners’ for several years.
