Prudential chair Paul Manduca has joined the board of the Templeton Emerging Markets trust as its chairman steps down after more than a decade with the company.
Peter Smith had sat on the board of the £1.6bn trust since 2004 and had been chairman since 2007. He is to be replaced by Manduca, who will become a non-executive director immediately before taking over as chairman at a later date. Manduca is currently chairman of the board of Prudential, a role he took over in 2012. He is also chairman of the Henderson Diversified Income trust.
