Comgest's Cosserat: Long-term investors are unappreciated

CEO critical of industry's short-termist behaviour

Comgest is preaching the message of its long-term, unconstrained approach to investment to the UK wholesale market as CEO Arnaud Cosserat told Investment Week "the world is dying from a rare disease, which is short termism".

Predominantly playing in the UK institutional space up until now, the Paris-based boutique asset manager opened a London office in April 2018 in efforts to broaden its reach. Iain MacPherson was hired from Aberdeen Standard Investments to spearhead the push, reporting to country head Jane Russell, who is based in Paris.
