The S&P 500 hit an all-time high last year, the FTSE 100 is not far from its own record and the longest-running bull market continues, yet caution dominates the predictions for equities in 2020.
However, despite stretched valuations, fears of "subdued returns" and fraught geopolitics, some investors see opportunity in equities. According to the NNIP Investor Sentimeter, more than half the investors queried (51%) increased their allocation to the space while one investor called it "a golden period for equity investing".
