Hot on the heels of COP27 in Egypt came COP15, which was held in Montreal and concluded in the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. The framework agreed four longer-term goals for 2050 and 23 action-oriented goals for 2030. COP 15 was hailed as a success for the following reasons: Set the direction of travel to substantially increase the area of natural ecosystems by 2050.
