Private markets have generated a huge level of industry newsflow this year as investment groups compete to establish a stronger foothold in the UK market.

The sector has responded to new regulations, a plethora of different strategies and specialist platforms have been launched, with much more to come, while asset managers have been rapidly boosting their resources and distribution capabilities, particularly in the institutional space.
