Investing in UK equities amid the 'Boris Johnson Brexit circus'

It is widely discussed that the UK equity market is cheap and recent foreign takeovers suggest there is value at home.

However, short-term obsessions about the level of sterling, the direction of bond yields and whether the rebound in value versus growth continues or reverses dominate market sentiment. Add in the effects of the latest act in the Boris Johnson Brexit circus, and UK positioning is tricky.  Nonetheless, this turmoil creates investment opportunities where taking moderate levels of risk could pay off.
