This week, we chat to Mohsin Bukhari, head of investments at Carrington Investments. What has been your most successful asset allocation decision so far? Contrary to the popular trend of selling UK equities, I decided to increase our UK equity exposure at the start of this year by as much as 50% in some portfolios. I felt valuations were excessively depressed and the environment was not as bad as prices were suggesting. Clearly, Brexit had not been resolved but my base case was that a no deal was unlikely and so the risk-reward ratio for owning UK equities favoured the upside. ...
