Threadneedle manager uses beta portfolio invested in high-quality bonds for liquidity and stability and alpha fixed-interest vehicle to give excess returns
Quentin Fitzsimmons has been head of Government bonds at Threadneedle since joining the company in 2003. He currently co-manages Threadneedle's £200m Absolute Return Bond fund with Peter Allwright and is deputy manager of the £376m Sterling Bond fund, managed by Sam Hill. Fitzsimmons also co-manages Threadneedle's offshore Target Return fund with Allwright and runs a number of fixed income mandates for institutional clients.
