The flagship European funds from Gartmore and Threadneedle have maintained strong core elements to their portfolios despite their aggressive tags
As the second and fourth largest portfolios in the Europe excluding UK sector, Roger Guy's £1.4bn Gartmore European Selected Opportunities and Darrell O'Dea's £1.06bn Threadneedle European Select Growth remain flagship funds in the peer group. Both also boast among the longest track records in the sector, with Guy running his fund since 1993, aided by co-manager Guillaume Rambourg since 1996, and O'Dea having a track record that goes back to 1994.
