Looking back over the last few years, global emerging market equities have delivered positive returns for investors, clearly outperforming developed world markets over one, three, five and ten-year periods. Global emerging economies have experienced massive economic development, particularly in recent years. This has sharply differentiated GEMs from their developed counterparts, many of whom are still struggling to recover from the recent recession.
