Most people associate cutting edge technology and scientific breakthroughs with the Far East and the US, both regions renowned for their mega-cap companies willing to back new innovations. But actually, the UK is a leader in technology and the so-called Cambridge Hub is considered a centre for the whole of Europe, with around 1,400 tech companies basing their headquarters in the city.
