Daniel Godfrey, chief executive of the Investment Management Association (IMA), has called for fund managers to engage the mass market in the UK, in order to drive the industry forward.
Speaking at the Investment Week Fund Management Summit, held in London on 15 and 16 October, Godfrey (pictured) said a greater emphasis on more accessible, mass market funds is needed to ensure the industry has a strong future. He added this approach is particularly important to keep down costs: “The UK is already the second largest centre of asset management.
