Marlborough's European manager David Walton highlights the niche German companies which can buck the growth slowdown in Europe - as well as the mid-caps that could speed ahead.

Weaker than expected growth and heightened uncertainty about the situation in Ukraine have combined to result in a pullback in European equity valuations, removing the froth from the market and in doing so, creating opportunities for investors. Economic growth looks set to remain low for some time across the region, and that is due in no small measure to the drag caused by poor government and inflexible labour markets in southern Europe.
