Should active share influence fund selection?

Following several fund groups' decision to publish active share figures for the first time, Investment Week asks selectors how important the tool really is for fund selection.

The measure's usefulness continues to be hotly debated: J.P. Morgan Asset Management's Tony Lanning this week described active share as a valuable part of the fund selection process, but others are not so sure.
