Although there has been little convergence within the eurozone since it became a single currency region, Simon Crinage, head of investment trusts at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, argues the currency bloc still has a number of strengths, including its power as a global exporter.

Does giving 18 very different national economic cultures the same currency and central bank transform them into one economy? If not, does it make any sense to talk of ‘eurozone investment' at all?
