Neil Hermon on UK growth There is plenty of conjecture currently regarding IPOs, but are they a good investment? Superficially the evidence is unsupportive. London Business School professors Elroy Dimson and Paul Marsh, producers of the Numis Smaller Companies index (NSCI), recently shed light on the matter in the NSCI's 2015 annual review. It was reported that two-year returns for post-IPO companies had averaged -16% since 2000.
