With concerns surrounding global growth, Peter Hewitt, manager of the F&C Managed Portfolio Income trust, highlights the trusts set to benefit from the UK being the fastest-growing G7 economy.
The FTSE All Share index has fallen 7.2% over the past six months to 21 October. While this performance is not great, when viewed in comparison to other regions, the magnitude of the decline is much less severe. For example, the FTSE Europe (ex UK) is down 8.6% while the FTSE Pacific ex Japan has been much worse, posting a 17% fall.
