Hardeep Tawakley takes a closer look at the evolution of specialist funds and speaks to buyers about their favourite offerings.

At the end of last year, both T.Rowe Price and Neptune Investment Management launched Global Technology funds, while S.W. Mitchell said it was mulling the launch of a specialist tech fund in the near future.   Pictet Asset Management also unveiled a Robotics fund in October; one of the first vehicles of its kind to invest in robotics and artificial intelligence technologies. Meanwhile, Aberdeen launched a Financial Equity fund in June 2015, and Mirae and Edmond de Rothschild led the way in the healthcare fund space with launches of an Asia Healthcare and Global Healthcare fund respect...
