Following 25 years at the helm, City of London trust manager Job Curtis explains the trades driving his portfolio this year and how he has navigated market challenges.

Henderson's Job Curtis (pictured), manager of the £1.3bn City of London investment trust, revealed his portfolio was well-positioned for the surprise Brexit vote this summer, with a number of his key large-cap positions helping to boost performance in recent months. Speaking at a briefing in London, the manager said the biggest contributions to returns during the period and over the year to 30 June came from holdings in Verizon Communications, Amlin, and Curtis' long-term favourite, British American Tobacco.
