Trust once again becoming 'relevant' for investors

Kepler Partners takes a closer look at the newly restructured multi-manager Alliance Trust, which today announced the appointment of eight managers who will offer a mix of growth, value and quality styles.

After a strategic review which was initiated early last year, the board of Alliance Trust announced in December it had decided to adopt a multi-manager approach for the global equity vehicle. Selected by investment consultants Willis Towers Watson (WTW) who will oversee the whole strategy, eight managers will each run portfolios of approximately twenty "best ideas" from across the globe to generate high alpha.
