Hybrid SEIS/EIS PlayFund talks about 2016-17 Tax Efficiency Awards boost

The value of the UK gaming industry is expected to be worth as much as £5bn by the end of 2020, according to the winner of the Newcomer category at last year's Investment Week Tax Efficiency Awards.

PlayFund is a hybrid SEIS/EIS fund that harnesses the expertise of a team of games market experts led by Harvey Elliot, the former chairperson of the BAFTA games committee, to identify games developers with new and exciting ideas to bring to market. Elliott said the award last year gave the fund - which only launched officially in February this year - early validation for its aims.
