Schroders' Kaynor to slash cash in Jenny Jones' former funds

Bob Kaynor, manager of the Schroder US Smaller Companies and US Mid Cap funds, is preparing to put cash to work after taking over from Jenny Jones.

Kaynor, who officially replaced 16-year Schroders veteran Jones as head of US small cap and SMID equities on 1 April, said he and his predecessor "have a different view on cash". Jones hired Kaynor in 2013 as part of a clear succession plan. Speaking to clients for the first time since his promotion, Kaynor said "every step we have taken together over the last six-plus years has been leading to this point".
