Dividend yields have been growing in Europe in recent years, almost to the level of the UK market, and with a higher dividend cover it offers some reassurance to income-seeking investors

Although the UK was traditionally the home for investors seeking income, Europe has also become a home for income-seeking investors. In recent years, there have been many funds set up in Europe to access the growing yields available there. The yields available in Europe are still lower than those in the UK - at 3.5% the market yields 0.7% less than the UK - but dividends have been growing well at over 10% per annum in recent years against a backdrop of low interest rates.
