S&P's Daniel Vaughan reviews managers' positions in sector as elections approach

In our latest review of the UK growth sector, the UK Growth Mainstream managers we spoke to had reviewed their exposure to the banking and support services sectors with the UK elections approaching. Richard Wilmot, manager of the S&P AA-rated Newton Growth fund and Fidelity’s Sanjeev Shah and James Griffin, continue to own Serco and Capita, potential beneficiaries of Government outsourcing, with Griffin happy to add to positions if there were to be a sell-off.
