Webb oversees rebirth of Rathbones

With assets of over £900m, Rathbones Unit Trust Management (RUTM) has critical mass, but the challenge for Mike Webb, its recently appointed chief executive, is rebuild it to pre-Lehman levels.

Its flat bureaucracy makes it attractive to experienced managers, a fact reflected in the tenure of its senior investment team, all of whom have been with the firm for at least nine years. With just five funds and two multi asset funds of funds, RUTM definitely has room to expand in the future.
