Ezra Sun runs the £1.5bn Asian fund business at Veritas Asset Management, spread across three funds.
In the retail world, he is best known for the Asian fund, which closed to new business in 2007 following a surge of inflows taking it to over £1bn in size. The fund was re-opened again in late 2008 and a year later Sun brought his first long/short vehicle to the retail market, the Veritas China fund. Focusing only on China, the new fund is based on the strategy Sun employs on his hedge fund, Real Return Asia. Assets are over $100m (£64.4m) and the fund is capped at $500m.
