One of the main attractions of the UK equity market is the international exposure that can be obtained from investing in its companies. At a time when the UK consumer is under pressure from public sector cutbacks, rising taxes and stubbornly high inflation, an ability to choose overseas earners clearly has its merits. It is our view the US economy will continue to recover in 2011 and emerging economies will continue to perform strongly.
