Style-agnostic approach delivers for JOHCM European

The JO Hambro Continental European fund has outperformed the Europe ex UK sector average nine out of the 10 years it has been in existence.

The only down period was in 2004, according to Morningstar figures, when the fund lost 3.53%. Overall, however, the fund has returned 153.76%, compared to the sector average of 90.2%, since its launch in 2001 and is top quartile over the past three years. Lead manager on the £390m fund, Paul Wild, said the performance is down to the “pragmatic investment philosophy” and top-down structuring of the portfolio.
