A quick glance at SVM’s All Europe Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) Retail fund shows it is anything but a typical ethical product. The fund has 15.7% in the oil and gas industry, for example, including holdings in BP and Royal Dutch Shell. Joint manager Neil Veitch argues the fund’s parameters are not as rigid as for other SRI funds, though he is quick to stress the fund is equally as valid as an ethical investment.
