As Fidelity's Anthony Bolton weighs up when to bring to a close his second stint in fund management, several names are in the frame as successors on the £558m China Special Situations trust.
Bolton told clients in recent days he will clarify his future on the trust by the company’s AGM in July. When the company launched in April 2010, the manager agreed to remain at the helm for at least two years, but later extended his tenure to April 2013. He is yet to confirm if he will stay on beyond this date. China Special Situations has had a rocky ride since launch and Bolton has admitted performance has been “disappointing”.
