UK mid-cap stocks are outperforming the FTSE 100 again this year. For those who know their history, this should not come as a major surprise. In fact, mid caps have outperformed large caps by 96% since the FTSE benchmarks were created 27 years ago.
That is no mean feat given the relatively strong performance of the wider UK market over that period.
