Increased uncertainty over the outlook for US monetary policy has knocked investor confidence towards emerging market equities in recent months. The result has been falling asset prices, rising interest rates, and a reduction in growth prospects. Currencies have fallen in value, and major commodities such as gold have shown their vulnerability to the slowdown in the Chinese economy.
