The Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, or ‘through-train’ between the two stock markets, will not only be a milestone for global investors but also a major step in integrating China with capital markets globally. For the first time Hong Kong and international investors will be able to easily trade Shanghai-listed stocks (A-shares), providing global funds with much better access to Chinese companies.
