Income investing in the last few years has been characterised by a growing clamour for alternative assets as bond and equity yields compress. These conditions are still in place heading into 2015, with UK dividend-seekers taking a separate, high profile hit this month when beleaguered Tesco announced it will cancel its final dividend for 2014/15.
