US unlikely to see 'rapid or near-term stock gains' in 2015

US stocks had a disappointing first three quarters of the year and volatility jumped as Federal Reserve uncertainty and Chinese growth concerns rattled investors.

The US's issues are not likely to fade in the near future, but investors seem to be coming to grips with them and the US economy continues to expand. Manufacturing has been hurt by global growth concerns, but the service side continues to grow and it represents about 88% of the economy. This should keep the US economy from a recession and help support an ongoing bull market.
