The latest leading indicators suggest the European economy has a degree of resilience in the face of increased concerns over a global slowdown. The European Commission's Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI), Business Climate, Industrial Confidence and Services Confidence indicators for Europe all showed some progress in September, despite concerns over a slowdown in emerging market growth.
