If you had not already noticed, the UK economy is performing rather well. This has primarily been driven by growth in domestic consumption and services rather than manufacturing. Low interest rates, low unemployment, rising house prices and falling energy prices have significantly improved consumer confidence and, more importantly, disposable income.
