The 'real' bull and bear cases for a Brexit

A lot of column inches have been devoted to the various scenarios post the EU referendum result. There is a convincing case to be made that there are three possible outcomes this week, two of which are positive for markets generally.

The first outcome is the UK will vote to remain by a comfortable margin. Here, the issue is put to bed for a generation, with Nigel Farage et al left to howl in the wind (a very positive outcome). The second outcome is that we remain by a very narrow margin. England votes to leave but Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland swing the balance back to an overall remain for the UK.
