Clearly, the Brexit vote - or the Great British Break-off as we are calling it - surprised the market as all the indicators had pointed to us remaining.

When we did not get that, the market took it as a shock and we now have the prospect of lots of uncertainty, both on an economic and a political front for at least the next year. Companies will be more wary about making investment decisions and hiring decisions. If you are not sure how weak sterling is going to be and what the impact is going to be on the UK economy, it creates uncertainty which defers decision-making.
