The election of President Mauricio Macri, in December 2015 brought an end to more than 70 years of Peronist rule in Argentina and has heralded an era of significant political change.
The new government has sought to return economic policy to orthodox models, significantly distancing themselves from the policies of the previous government and therefore attracting the attention of international investors.
