While the uncertainty caused by the Brexit vote may have called into question the long-term direction of travel for UK business, the country's creative industries continue to thrive.

The creative sector is a key component of the UK economy, accounting for £84.1bn in terms of gross added value to the UK economy in 2014, and employing 2.9 million people. There is no shortage of success stories. Artists such as Ed Sheeran and Adele, the hugely popular Harry Potter series, and shows such as Downtown Abbey, all reinforce the UK's reputation as a centre of innovation and global influence - affording it a particular position of strength in the global marketplace as a result.
