The flow of small- and micro-cap UK IPOs continued to be steady during the first quarter of 2017.
Of the 66 AIM and main market initial public offerings (IPOs) during 2016 only three joined the stockmarket with a market capitalisation above £1bn. There were 20 London IPOs during the first three months of 2017 of which none were capitalised above £1bn. According to statistics from the London Stock Exchange, these smaller company IPOs have raised a healthy combined £1.3bn of new capital so far this year.
