As emerging markets continue to evolve, there is an overarching trend of continued improvement in corporate governance driven by both public policy as well as progress within the private sector.
For example, while historically Korean chaebols have had significant corporate governance issues related to low yield and weak shareholding structure, there has been a meaningful improvement in recent years.
