Gartmore's Bennett: EM story could emulate the 1990s dotcom bubble

It is almost a year since John Bennett arrived at Gartmore from GAM to take on the Gartmore European Selected Opportunities fund from Roger Guy and Guillaume Rambourg.

Since he joined there have been major changes set in motion for the group, as it is set to be taken over by Henderson later this year. Bennett is among the managers who have confirmed they will move across to Henderson when the deal completes. In the meantime, he is focused on the day to day running of his portfolio. Here he talks to Asset TV about running a low turnover fund in volatile markets, his fears for the euro, and why the emerging markets story could prove to be up there with the dotcom bubble of the late 1990s.
