While some former darlings of the asset management industry have seen inflows fall over the past few years, Kames Capital has been quietly gaining market share. The popularity of the group’s fixed income offerings, and a pickup in interest on the equity side, has seen Kames jump into the top five UK fund management companies in terms of net retail sales, according to the Fundscape Pridham report. Meanwhile, retail sales figures supplied by the group show gross sales of OEICs and segregated sales have jumped from £399m in 2008 to £2.47bn in 2012, an increase of 518% in four years. C...
